Timbaland ready to polish Britney's star
Mar 7, 2007
Rapper-producer Timbaland, whose real name is Tim Mosley, says he's standing by to remake Britney Spears.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the producer who crafted Sexyback for Justin Timberlake and Promiscuous for Canada's Nelly Furtado, says he's ready to help Spears be a star again.
"I feel her pain. It really bothers me," he said. "I'm the type of person who tries to save the world. I just want to take her away, go overseas, and work [it] out."
Spears's image has been hurt by the scandals of her private life, including shaving her head in public, going into rehab and fighting her ex-husband over custody of their two children.
When she does get back to performing, it's going to be difficult to re-establish pop stardom amid the controversy over her personal life.
Timbaland says he consulted with Timberlake, his friend and Spears's ex-boyfriend, over the pop princess.

Bush's daughter bags book deal

The book, called Ana's Story: A Journey of Hope, will focus on a 17-year-old orphaned single mother with HIV. It has been bought by HarperCollins for an undisclosed sum - believed to be above $300,000 (£155,500) - is due to be published this autumn. A "portion" of author and publisher proceeds will go to the US fund for Unicef, which supports child survival, protection and development worldwide through education, advocacy and fundraising.
"I have been inspired by my work with adolescents in Central and South America," said Ms Bush. "These young people have faced extreme hardships and exclusion but are strong in spirit and have an incredible will to succeed. Through their stories, it is my hope to motivate young Americans to increase their awareness of other young people around the world: to learn about the challenges they face, how they triumph over adversity, and to become involved in helping them."
"We were very moved by Jenna's passion for this project," said Susan Katz, president and publisher of HarperCollins children's books. "Her message in this book is about hope, involvement and inclusion, told through one teenager's story of survival and strength."
Ms Bush graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2004 with a degree in English and worked as an elementary school teacher in Washington, DC for 18 months before embarking on an internship with Unicef in Panama.
By winning a publishing deal while her father is still in office Jenna Bush follows in the footsteps of Ronald Reagan's daughter, Patti Davis, whose novel Home Front was published in 1986 during her father's second term. On this side of the Atlantic, Celia Ahern, the daughter of Taoiseach Bertie Ahern, wrote a chick lit novel, PS I Love You, which topped the bestseller charts in her native Ireland and was sold in the States for a $1m advance.
Susan Ford, the daughter of former US president Gerald Ford wrote two suspense novels set in the White House, Double Exposure and Short Fuse. However, the books, written "with Laura Hayden" were published in 2002 and 2005, well after her father's period in office.

Family man Brad spends time with his girls in New Orleans

Far away from the bright lights of Hollywood, silver screen stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were enjoying some family time in their new neighbourhood. The photogenic parents looked blissfully happy as they took daughter Zahara, two and nine-month-old Shiloh for a sunny stroll in New Orleans stopping to pick up some cakes and coffee from the famous Le Croissant d'Or bakery.
Looking co-ordinated in casual white tops, sunglasses and jeans, parenthood clearly agrees with the duo. Five-year-old son Maddox was the only one missing from the outing as he was at school. According to reports the boy-girl balance in the Jolie-Pitt clan could soon be redressed as the Mr And Mrs Smith co-stars are thought to be adopting another boy. The international adoption department in Vietnam has confirmed that Angelina has filed for permission to adopt with her partner.
"We consider her like any other American who wants to adopt children from Vietnam," said spokesman Vu Duc Long. "She is not yet married so the file was from her individually. It will take a few months for us to consider this," he added.
Brad and Angelina spent the Thanksgiving holiday last November in an orphanage near Ho Chi Minh City playing with the children. Angelina adopted her first child, Maddox, from Cambodia in 2002 and Zahara from Ethiopia three years later.

Angelina Jolie plans to adopt Vietnamese child, officials confirm

HANOI, Vietnam : Angelina Jolie has filed papers to adopt a Vietnamese child, the country's top adoption official said Friday.
A U.S. adoption agency representing Jolie filed the papers at Vietnam's International Adoption Agency, said Vu Duc Long, the agency's director.
"She just filed the papers this week," Long said.
Jolie and her superstar partner, Brad Pitt, have three children: 5-year-old Maddox, adopted from Cambodia; 2-year-old Zahara, adopted from Ethiopia; and another daughter, Shiloh, who was born to the couple in May.
Long would not name the U.S. adoption agency working with Jolie, who applied to adopt as a single parent.
Jolie and Pitt made a surprise visit to Vietnam at Thanksgiving, when they visited the Tam Binh orphanage, on the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City.
Their pictures were splashed across the front page of Vietnamese newspapers, showing the couple cruising around Ho Chi Minh City on a motorbike.
Nguyen Van Trung, the director of the Tam Binh orphanage, declined to comment. He said he was awaiting the papers from the International Adoption Agency.

Bald Headed K-Fed Says He Did It For Britney

The rapper wannabe’s buddies insist that K-Fed is still in love with Britney and that’s why he sticks with her through these hard times.
"He said he still loves her," The Sun quoted a pal as saying.
Britney isn’t far from feeling the same way Kevin Federline does. Her friends say she not only wants him back, but wants to have another child with him.
"Britney has realized what a rock Kevin has been to her, and how out of control she has acted recently. She has been talking to Kevin every night for hours on the phone, telling him she still loves him. She just wants to be with him again, and thinks having another baby will seal their marriage," the source said.
However, according to recent reports, Britney isn’t doing very well in rehab.
Us Weekly claims her cousin Alli has all but moved into the clinic to help keep an eye on her but the family still don’t think it’ll be enough to keep Britney on track. A source told the magazine: “They hope that Britney will stay at Promises for a month, but they’re nervous she might not last that long.”
After Britney checked herself in the Promises rehabilitation center in Malibu, British tabloid News of the World reported that the staff at the clinic said she was put on “suicide watch” after she tried to hang herself with a bed sheet.
A friend of hers told the newspaper that right before attempting to take her life, she had the number 666 written on her head and ran around the clinic yelling: “I am the Antichrist!”
"She is still very vulnerable. Last Saturday she said she had the number 666 written onto her bald head. She was crying, and shouting, 'I am the Antichrist!' The clinic people just didn't know what to do. Then she started screaming, 'I'm a fake! I'm a fake!' It must have been really frightening," the News of the World quoted the pal, as saying.
"Later that night she tried to kill herself. She attached a sheet to a light and tied it around her neck. Paramedics were called, but luckily she was unhurt," the pal added.

Kevin Federline cares for kids

The 28-year-old - who has custody of sons 18-month-old Sean Preston and six-month-old Jayden James while estranged wife Britney Spears is in rehab - travelled to Las Vegas for an appearance at the Mirage Hotel and Casino lounge Revolution.
A source told People magazine: "Kevin was really low key. You could definitely tell he was on his best behaviour. He was having a good time, but wasn't the wild, crazy Kevin who used to come to Vegas."
The aspiring rapper arrived on Saturday (03.03.07) with the boys, a nanny, his mother, brother and two bodyguards.
He dined with family and friends at the hotel restaurant Japonais.
The source added: "He was late for dinner because he wanted to tuck his kids into bed."
Meanwhile, Britney is said to be responding well to treatment in Malibu's Promises centre and has been enjoying some online retail therapy.
Sources reveal she has spent over $3,000 on clothes, including several fedora hats, Daisy Duke shorts, sunglasses and a designer dress.
A source told gossip website TMZ: "Britney emailed her cousin, Ali, a list of all the things she wanted from a website."
She also asked for this season's 'must-have' dress, a red and gold bamboo cap-ribbed dress in a size small and one of their Eternity shawls in light blue.

Robbie Williams Out Of Rehab

It's been confirmed that Robbie Williams has checked out of rehab early.
The troubled singer reportedly ignored medical advice and left his month-long program a week early on Tuesday night.
However, a spokesman for Robbie, Bryony Watts, said, "Robbie has completed treatment in Arizona and continues with an after-care program in Los Angeles."
Robbie has returned to his Los Angeles mansion to be looked after by his mother Jan, who is a drugs and alcohol counselor.
The 56-year-old mom insists her son's decision to get help on his 33rd birthday was the "best present he could give himself."
It had been reported Robbie was staying at Arizona's Meadows Center, but he was actually at the $900-a-night Cottonwood de Tucson, according to Britain's The Sun newspaper.
The clinic - said to be one of the toughest in the U.S. - makes patients share rooms, wake up at 7 a.m. and eat in a basic cafeteria.
Patients are ordered to detox for the first five days and only allowed to go on supervised day trips. They also undergo intense group therapy before having one-to-one meetings with a therapist.
While he was in rehab, Robbie spent his time studying British trivia.
A source said, "He's trying to keep his brain active. He wants to brush up on his British and U.S. history."
The "Angels" singer, who became hooked on anti-depressants, sleeping pills and caffeine, checked into rehab on February 13.

Elizabeth Hurley’s Pre- Wedding ‘Caveman’ Diet

The couple wed in a lavish ceremony at Sudeley Castle on Saturday before heading off for the Indian leg of their festivities.
According to reports, Hurley lost 5lbs in the run up to the wedding following the Paleo diet, which advocates eating only 1 meal a day.
The 41 year old has been extremely focused and sensible over the last few months as she prepared to fit into her Versace wedding dress.
The source also told Grazia:' In the last few weeks she started to worry about a few extra pounds that wouldn’t shift, particularly around the tummy area.'
This latest diet was devised by Dr. Loren Cordain and is based on eating only foods that would have been available to people living in the stone age.
Thepaleodiet.com says this easy to follow programme uses only food which we have 'evolved to eat', including seafood, lean meats and fresh fruit. It is also claimed the diet can help cure various health problems, such as diabetes, cholesterol and acne.

Giorgio Armani Not Selling His Fashion Empire
Who hasn’t heard of Italian fashion designer Armani? I’m pretty sure you all have. Just the other day, some came out that Giorgio Armani is prepared to sell out his fashion empire, which some estimate could be worth $6.6 billion. At the opening of an Armani exhibition in Milan, it was reported that Giorgio Armani said he was prepared to sell to the highest bidder. But just as quickly as the new spread, he denied the issue on selling his company. He said, “I made a remark to journalists in Italy that was obviously misunderstood”.
Did this news about a sell-out worry you? If you are a die-hard Armani “fashionista” I guess you can put your mind at rest now. You will still have a long time to look forward to with excellent and trendy offerings from this Italian designer.
