Pete Doherty declares Kate Moss as his fiance

Singer/songwriter Pete Doherty dedicated a track KP Nuts to Kate Moss, in which he described the supermodel as his fiancé, giving rise to speculation that a wedding is on the cards.

The 'Babyshambles' front-man was performing at the Hackney Empire in east London where Moss appeared wearing a ring on her engagement finger.
The Brit supermodel had come over all the way from Los Angeles, to perform alongside him.
The off-the-cuff gig performed by the duo came during 'An Evening with Peter Doherty', billed as a show including 'poetry, readings and acoustic songs' and some 'very special guests'.
It looks like there is one celebrity couple which is not scared of going public with their romance, as earlier a home video, in which Doherty is seen playing a guitar and singing while Moss is seen entering the room in a negligee has become quite a hit on YouTube.
According to Telegraph, YouTube has recorded some 31,000 hits for the three-minute clip during which Moss is swinging in a 70s-style chair suspended from the ceiling and is dancing.

Victoria Beckham rubbishes 'wine therapy for weight gain' rumours

Reports that Victoria Beckham has added some volume to her petite figure by using alcohol therapy have been proved wrong.

The former Spice Girl's spokeswoman has shunned claims that the singer has gained some weight after using alcohol to build an appetite.
The spokeswoman said that it was "utterly ridiculous and there is no truth in it at all."
A pal of Posh earlier told the Closer magazine that Victoria's stomach has shrunk so much, she now needs to drink to 'get the munchies' before she can eat.
"She has no appetite whatsoever because her stomach has shrunk so much," the Daily Mail quoted the friend, as telling Closer magazine.
"If she has a glass of wine or two then she gets the munchies like everyone else gets when they're on a night out drinking," the friend added.

Brooke Shields open to joint birthday party with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes for their daughters

Brooke Shields wants her daughter to have a joint first birthday party with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' baby Suri.

The actress thinks it would be a great idea since Suri and her own daughter Grier were born at the same hospital on the same day.

Brooke told Access Hollywood: "Everybody's asking if Grier's going to have a joint birthday party with baby Suri.

"We haven't planned that yet. I think they're going to be away for her birthday. So maybe it will happen after we get back."

Suri and Grier - Brooke's second daughter with husband Chris Henchy - were born on April 18 at California's St. John's Medical Center.

In 2005, Brooke came under fire from Tom after openly admitting she suffered from post-natal depression following the birth of her first daughter Rowan Francis, who turns four next month.

Devout Scientologist Tom criticized mothers who used anti-depressant medication during a TV interview.

Brooke, 41, hit back by saying Tom should "stick to fighting aliens and let mothers decide the best way to treat postpartum depression".

Britney Spears says she is ready to 'quit' pop music

The singer, who checked into Malibu's Promises rehab centre in February, jokingly revealed her new album has proven so stressful she is considering a new career.

When Britney was asked when fans could hear her new LP, she smiled and replied: "I think I might be quitting!"

The 'Toxic' singer, who is set to work with top producer Timbaland on her music comeback, was seen at the Millennium Dance Studio in North Hollywood undergoing a grueling two-hour dance rehearsal yesterday (04/11/2007).

Meanwhile, Britney's ex-lover Justin Timberlake has been phoning her to offer a shoulder to cry on.

Justin, who dated Britney for four years before they split in 2002, was so concerned about Britney checking into rehab he contacted her.

He said: "I called her because I am worried about her. She is a great woman. I'm rooting for her. It seems like she is getting everything under control now."

DiCaprio to join diaper-changing bandwagon soon?

Leonardo DiCaprio and lady love, model Bar Refaeli are reportedly going to join the baby bandwagon soon.

Rumors are abuzz that the couple, who have been dating for just 15 months, are expecting their first child later this year – late Autumn to be more specific.

Pals of the Israeli model insist that the couple are absolutely “delighted” by the news of their impending parenthood.

A source revealed that another telling sign was that the Blood Diamond star had been plying best pal Tobey Maguire with questions about what it felt like to be a father.

Maguire became a dad last year in November when fiancée Jennifer Meyer gave birth to their daughter Ruby.

"He dotes on Tobey's little girl Ruby and has been asking him all about what it's like being a dad," the Mirror quoted the source, as saying.

Reports of a pregnancy started circulating last month when Refaeli not only wore a loose-fitting top to a bash at Jet Nightclub at the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, but also when she turned down alcoholic drinks in favor of mineral water all night.

The news comes on the heels of rumors that DiCaprio and Refaeli are planning to wed in a few months. Mags in the US are predicting that the couple plan to hold a private wedding ceremony in Israel, followed by a bigger bash in America toward the end of the year.

Justin Timberlake pens songs for Madonna

Justin Timberlake has confirmed he has been writing music for a number of artists including Madonna.

Despite a recent record-breaking tour the Queen of Pop seems keen to reinvent her image once more with a little help from singers in the hip hop sector.

"I have been working on some new music," Timberlake told the Sun newspaper."

But it's not for myself – I'm writing for other people. I'm working on some stuff for Madonna.

"The unlikely duo worked on material together yesterday in a west London studio as the SexyBack singer is in the country preparing for the UK leg off his current world tour.

As well as Timberlake, the tabloid reports that other artists working to give Madonna's next album a hip hop edge are producer Timbaland – who worked on Nelly Furtado's latest album – and Pharrell Williams, who is already involved with four tracks.

The album also looks set to have a dance feel to it as she has been joined by DJ and producer Felix Da Housecat in the studio.

Meanwhile Madonna will also be busy in the run-up to this summer's Live Earth concert; it was announced yesterday that she will be one of the headlining acts.

Brad Pitt asks Angelina Jolie for 'time-out' from adoptions

Actor Brad Pitt has reportedly asked lady love Angelina Jolie not to adopt more children for the time being so that the couple can devote sufficient time to their current family.

A source close to the couple said that Pitt was not against having more children, but he wanted Jolie to stop adopting for a while in order to give their kids a better upbringing.

"Brad couldn't be more proud of Angelina and their family but he wants time to invest a little in what they have already," a source told Britain's The Daily Express.

"Brad is not against having more children, adopted or otherwise. Angelina wants more but he has suggested they should wait a while - a couple of years maybe before adding to their family again," the source added.

The superstar pair already have three adopted children — Maddox, five, Pax, three, and Zahara, two - and 11-month-old biological daughter Shiloh Nouvel.

Jolie adopted Vietnamese child Pax last month.

Victoria Beckham drinking wine to increase appetite

Victoria Beckham is reportedly drinking wine to increase her appetite, it has been claimed.

The former Spice Girl - who is reported to have shrunk to a US size 0, a UK size 4 - is tired of people criticizing her for being underweight and has turned to alcohol to "give her the munchies".

A source told Closer magazine: "It's the reason she has a drink. If she has a wine or two then she'll have an appetite like everyone gets when they're on a night out and drinking.
"She's got a big wine cooler in her house in Madrid and will have one in California when she finds a house.

"She and David have a life director who is helping them organise the move and she is also sourcing nice Californian wines."

It has been reported Victoria, 32, eats just one meal a day, refuses to touch carbohydrates and will only eat steamed fish, vegetables and salads.

Brad Pitt's putting his foot down.

The father of four says he wants to get to know his current kids before he and partner Angelina Jolie have any more - adopted or otherwise.

"Brad couldn't be more proud of Angelina and their family but he wants time to invest a little in what they have already ... Angelina wants more but he has suggested they should wait a while - a couple of years maybe before adding to their family again."

Meanwhile the celebrity couple are said to have just splashed out on a multi-million dollar Italian yacht.

J Lo hasn't called it quits with Anthony, says rep

Singer Jennifer Lopez’s rep has denied a report that the Hispanic star has split with musician husband Marc Anthony.

OK! Magazine had published the story that the luscious diva has called it quits with Anthony.
Lopez’s rep Leslie Sloane said that report, that describes Anthony as a controlling husband, who likes to exercise full authority over his wife, is disgusting and full of lies and that they are consulting lawyers regarding the story.

"A disgusting story full of lies. We're consulting lawyers. In the article, the mag brands Anthony as a ‘controlling’ man who spends his time ‘suffocating’ his 37-year-old superstar wife,” Us Weekly quoted the rep, as saying.

The article had claimed that Anthony is a machismo who will not even stand his wife doing a photo shoot by herself.

The report had cited an incident that took place at the Golden Globes ceremony, when Anthony dragged J Lo away from the place, after he spotted her dancing with another man.

Despite the report, the 37-year-old was seen with her husband at a record-signing event in Bronx.

A source close to the couple told the New York Daily News that Jenny and Anthony are ‘inseparable’.

Ex-Playboy model to star in Anna Nicole Smith film

Singer, dancer and one-time Playboy magazine model Willa Ford will star as the late Playboy Playmate Anna Nicole Smith in a biographical film about the billionaire's widow that starts shooting next week.

A publicist for Ford, best known for her hit single "I Wanna Be Bad" and a stint on the ABC television show "Dancing with the Stars," confirmed a report in Wednesday's Daily Variety she was signed to play the title role in the film, "Anna Nicole."

Like Smith, who sprang to fame as a model for the Guess? fashion line and as a Playboy's Playmate of the Year, Ford once posed nude for the men's magazine.

Variety said the independently produced movie would cover Smith's life from the age of 17 until her February 8 death in Florida from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs, five months after giving birth to a baby girl, Dannielynn.

A dispute over the baby's paternity was settled on Tuesday when a court in the Bahamas released DNA test results showing that Smith's former boyfriend, Larry Birkhead, was the child's father.

The baby could one day be worth millions if Smith's estate wins a decade-long battle to inherit a fortune from the late oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall. He married Smith when she was 26 and he was 89. Marshall died 14 months later.

Ford, 26, a Florida native, began singing at age 8 in a children's choir and released her first album, "Willa Was Here," in 2001, billing herself as the "bad girl of pop."

In addition to the "Anna Nicole" film in the works, a book titled "Train Wreck: The Life and Death of Anna Nicole Smith," written by Smith's half-sister, Donna Hogan, is due to hit bookstores this week.

Reese Witherspoon is having a "definite romance" with Jake Gyllenhaal.

Despite earlier reports claiming that the Walk the Line actress was merely "trying out a courtship" with heartthrob Jake, friends close to Reese insist they are an item.

A source told Us Weekly magazine: "Jake doesn't want a party girl at all.

"Reese is perfect because she understands the business and also the importance of family. Plus, he admires her talent, thinks she is beautiful and he respects her values. He respects everything about her actually."

According to reports, Reese was keen to get together with Brokeback Mountain star Jake, 26, since separating from her husband Ryan Phillippe last year.

Jake and Reese became close after starring in new movie Rendition together.
A source said: "Reese was the pursuer and really wanted to date Jake.

"She's known him for a while and thought he was intelligent and charming."

Reese, 31, has two children - Ava, six, and Deacon, three - with Ryan, who she met at her 21st birthday party.

Jake, 26, previously dated Kirsten Dunst for nearly three years.

American Idol: Beauty could not save Haley, Phil next

Haley Scarnato tried wearing next to nothing to avoid being eliminated from American Idol.
She's got legs — and she knew how to use them.

But Wednesday night, the magic finally ran out for Haley Scarnato.
(Yes, that means the Sanjaya phenomenon continues.)

The departure of Scarnato, 24, of San Antonio, trimmed the number of finalists to seven. The winner will be chosen in May.

Simon Cowell suggested on Tuesday's program that Scarnato was using her curve-hugging, leg-baring attire as a "tactic" to stay in the competition.

"I'm not gonna wear anything ... that's completely inappropriate," a jeans-clad Scarnato countered Wednesday.

Phil Stacey and Chris Richardson had the next-lowest vote tallies in the phone balloting, which drew more than 35 million calls and text messages.

Stacey, 29, of Jacksonville, Fla., earned mixed reviews on Tuesday for his performance of "Maria Maria," which Cowell derided as flat and unoriginal.

Cowell, however, complimented Richardson, 22, of Chesapeake, Va., for putting a contemporary spin on the Latin-flavored song "Smooth."

Wednesday's program featured performances by rapper Akon and the glamorous Jennifer Lopez, who doled out valuable advice as guest coach.

"I guess I come from the Paula (Abdul) school of criticism. ... Not that we don't need our Simon,"

Lopez told Ryan Seacrest, who asked for her reaction to the judges' critiques of the finalists.

In its sixth season, "American Idol" continues to rule the ratings. It has attracted 26 million to 37 million viewers per telecast this season.

Although Phil survived this week, odds makers across the Internet have made him the next favored idol to be eliminated.

Avril Lavigne insists she didn't badmouth Britney

Avril Lavigne surprised a lot of people just days ago by blasting Britney Spears. Now however, she denies ever making any hurtful statements about the singer.

Lavigne was quoted by British paper The Sun as saying that Britney’s breakdown was a sign that she doesn’t have what it takes to cope with the pressures of being a star.

"What's happened to Britney is all down to who she is as a person. You can’t complain about the pressures, the paparazzi, the madness because that’s the job," the tabloid had quoted her, as saying.

However, the Canadian rocker now insists that she never, ever badmouthed Britney.

Avril told Los Angeles radio duo Valentine and Lisa Foxx that she didn’t ‘know’ Britney to comment on her.

"I didn't say that. I haven't even been talking about her. People ask me about it all the time and I go, 'You know what? I don't know her,'" TMZ.com quoted her, as saying.

Heather Mills has left her 'Dancing with the Stars' partner "black and blue" because she keeps stepping on his toes with her artificial leg.

The former model has revealed the waltz rehearsals on the hit US TV show were a painful experience for her professional partner Jonathan Roberts.

She confessed in her online diary: "At the beginning of the week, I was rubbish at the waltz.

Jonathan was in a quandary and wanted to change the beginning of the routine because every time I stepped backward, I would scrape his Achilles tendon with the heel of my shoe. But then when I stepped forward, I'd make his toes black and blue, not realising my artificial leg was standing on his foot whilst I inquired why he was screwing his face up."

Heather - who lost her left leg below the knee in a police motorbike accident in 1993 - also revealed she looked more like a "waddling duck" than a "graceful swan" during her preparations.

She added: "Jonathan said that he wanted me to be as graceful as a swan. Yet he kept saying I was impersonating a waddling duck. He said that I kept sticking my butt out, which I was actually pleased about, as I always thought I didn't have much of a butt."

Despite a rocky week, Heather and her partner impressed the judges with their waltz on Monday (04.09.07) and remain in the competition with seven other couples.

Anna Nicole's baby and Birkhead give DNA samples

Larry Birkhead and baby Dannielynn were given cheek swabs to collect their DNA.

The pressing question may soon be answered about baby Dannielynn’s paternity. Bahamian judge ordered a DNA test Tuesday on Anna Nicole Smith’s infant daughter to identify the girl’s father.
MSNBC reports, both Larry Birkhead and Dannielynn were in the doctor’s office in Bahamas this morning and were given cheek swabs to collect their DNA.
The results, scheduled to be revealed in 4 days, will be a step closer in resolving a bitter battle between the pinup’s ex- boyfriend Larry Birkhead and most recent companion Howard K. Stern.
If Birkhead's DNA does not match Dannielynn's, Stern’s case will be further bolstered in the fight for her custody.
Howard K Stern’s DNA was not collected as he is presumed to be the baby’s father as per Bahamian laws since he's listed as such on her birth certificate.
The samples will be tested in a lab in Columbus, Ohio. The doctor has been sworn into secrecy and is not allowed to reveal the results of the test outside of the courts.

Howard K. Stern Mulls Suits Against Media Outlets

Stern Says Many Outlets Implicated Him In Deaths

It appears as though Anna Nicole Smith's former partner is poised to return to court --- but this time, he's going to take on the media.

A lawyer for Howard K. Stern said that Stern may sue media organizations that he believes have implicated him in the deaths of Smith and her son Daniel.

"The nightly television, tabloid and Internet trial of Mr. Stern in the court of public opinion based on sensational lies, speculation, rumor and gossip is over," Stern's attorney Lin Wood said in a news release.

An Atlanta-based attorney, Wood said that there's no evidence to question a medical examiner's ruling.

"The medical examiner concluded that the death of Anna Nicole Smith was accidental," Wood said. "No one has produced any evidence to rebut this conclusion because no such evidence exists."

A medical examiner has ruled Smith died of an accidental overdose of sleeping medication and at least eight other prescription drugs. Most of the drugs were prescribed in Stern's name.

The examiner's office also said Smith had the flu and a bacterial infection.

An inquest into Daniel Smith's death has been put on hold.
