Britney Spears and mother end feud after secret meeting
Jun 16, 2007
Britney Spears and her family appear to have sorted out their differences after a clandestine meeting at a palatial Bel Air mansion Sunday (10 Jun 2007).

Britney, arrived first for the meeting in her black Mercedes escorted by her bodyguards.
Her mother followed 20 minutes later driving Britney's old Range Rover, accompanied by her youngest daughter Jamie Lynne and Jamie's boyfriend.
The venue was one of the Malouf brothers' mega expensive Bel Air mansions.
When all parties departed approximately 1 hour later they looked in good spirits.
Lately, relations between Britney and her mother had become extremely strained. According to rumors, Britney refused to see her mother on Mother's Day, even though Lynne was sick with pneumonia.
Following her recovery, Lynne had been scheduled for what was believed to be a tell-all about her famous daughter on the television show "The View." However, she pulled out of the show at the last minute.

Jennifer Aniston's new man a friend of Victoria Beckham
Paul Sculfor, who was recently identified as Aniston's new boyfriend, was spotted enjoying a night in LA with Victoria Beckham and fellow Spice Girl Mel B.

Victoria is a friend of Maria Louise Featherstone, a woman Paul dated while they all lived in Essex, reports Mirror.
Paul and Victoria remained friends even after he split with Maria and went on to date other high profile women.
Jennifer, 38, got to meet Paul after her best friend Courtney Cox's husband, David Arquette, gave her phone number to Paul.
"Jen met Paul at a party last winter, while she was still with Vince. He came over all suave and charming, though and called her several weeks ago, after she had split up with Vince," a close friend of Jennifer was quoted as saying by Mirror.
"She remembered him right away. She was warned by David that he was a fame seeker and she should be wary of him but she is really attracted to him.
"What she likes is that he is the opposite of Vince. He's physically in shape like she is. He's dignified and gentlemanly in the only way that Englishmen can be but it's still early days and she's not taking it too seriously yet."

Former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan is having difficulties keeping up with co-star Colin Firth on the set of new musical Mamma Mia.

The 54-year old actor is apprehensive that his dance moves are not up to the mark, and is finding the film's dance routines particularly tough.
"Colin's a lot more nimble than me, it's going to be a real battle. I'm just concentrating on getting it right,” Brosnan said.
Meanwhile Brosnan and his wife Keely have donated 100,000 dollars to a school close to their home on the Hawaiian island of Kauai.
The couple gave the money to charity Hawaii 3R's which will replace an unsafe playground at an elementary school in Kauai.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's New Adoption Rumors
Rumors that the Jolie-Pitt family will be adding a new member soon may be a bit too premature tells Angelina Jolie.

Rumors have been abuzz for the past few weeks that Jolie and partner Brad Pitt will soon be adopting a boy from the Czech Republic where the actress is filming her new movie ‘Wanted’.
However, Jolie insists that she is definitely wants more kids, she and Brad have their hands full with their brood of four for the moment.
"We have a big family now and we're trying to make sure they are all well adjusted first. We will have more children, but now we're still getting everyone together," the Mirror quoted her, as saying.
Jolie, in an interview with the paper also revealed that the next time there’s another addition to the family, it might be when Maddox, 5, Pax, 3, Zahara, 2, and Shiloh, 1, are all a bit older so that she and Brad can give the new kids individual time too.
"We love having children and there are some kids we want to help through school and other kids involved in our lives as well. In our home it is about making sure everyone has individual time, and right now all four of them have daily, very special individual time and we never want to have so many children we can't do that," she says.
"When they get older and if it starts to feel like we can fit more in, that's how we're going to gauge how many we have," she added.
Jolie also laughs off reports that she and Brad, who fell in love while working on their 2005 movie Mr and Mrs Smith, are on the rocks.
"I am a very lucky woman. I have a beautiful family and Brad is a supportive friend and a great father. And he is very romantic. We talk very deeply about how we feel," she says.
"We're very similar. We support each other and back each other as parents. There is no divide," she adds.

Jolie's after more kids
HOLLYWOOD starts Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt want their family to include at least 11 children, according to the crusading actress. "It fluctuates between seven and 13 or 14,'' she told US talk show host Jon Stewart, when asked how many more children the pair wanted to have.
Jolie and Pitt, arguably Hollywood's most glamorous couple, are already raising four children - their daughter Shiloh and three adopted tots: Cambodian son Maddox, five; Vietnamese son Pax Thien, three; and Ethiopian daughter Zahara, two.
"Wow, I'll tell you this: I admire that, because two is kicking my ass,'' said Stewart, to laughs from the audience.
Jolie admitted that her representatives were responsible for recent demands that journalists sign an agreement not to ask her personal questions before interviewing her.
"It was excessive and I wouldn't have put it out there,'' she said.
Meanwhile, Jolie won over Manhattan the night before at the screening of A Mighty Heart, when she wore a vintage 1940s silk velvet wrap dress, procured at a Los Angeles vintage shop for US$26 (A$31).
The money went to her feet - Jolie's Christian Louboutin open-toed, crystal-heel pumps cost about US$800 (A$964).

Oprah, Brad, Madonna Have the Power; Paris Doesn't
The multimedia maven topped Forbes' 2007 list of the 100 Most Powerful Celebrities, a status achieved not only by her nine-figure earnings but also via Internet ubiquity, press clippings, magazine covers, shout-outs on TV and radio and the other "popularity metrics" that factor into Forbes' analysis, based on the past 12 months.
Lucas, while a power player last year, is nowhere to be found on the new list, despite being one of the richest people in Hollywood with a net worth of $3.6 billion, per Forbes. Apparently he generated less buzz than Winfrey, whose yearly pay is estimated at $260 million, bringing her net worth to about $1.5 billion. The talk show host (and so much more) also had the biggest Web and TV presence, according to Forbes.
Last year's A-list He-Man, Tom Cruise, slipped from the top spot to number eight, with his overall paycheck totaling a mere $31 million. Really, after the tabloid-crazy year that was, his number of press clippings had nowhere to go but down.
Golf superstar Tiger Woods is the top-ranking athlete in the bunch and, considering he generates headlines every time he picks up a club and pulls in about $100 million a year, is sitting pretty right below Winfrey at number two on the list, despite having only the 16th-highest Web presence.
Madonna, although her pay is only a piddling $72 million these days, received the most press out of all the celebrities listed, had the second-biggest Internet showing, and came in at number three. (Ranked on her biceps alone, she would have been number one, of course.)
Rounding out the top five were the Rolling Stones, whose Bigger Bang tour was the highest-grossing musical act in North America last year (and Keith Richards helped on the press side with that malarkey about snorting his dad's ashes), and Brad Pitt, 25th on the pay scale with $35 million but ninth in press, thanks to his roles in Babel and Ocean's Thirteen and his tabloid-friendly cohabitation with Angelina Jolie (14th place).
Meanwhile, the lower-profile (in certain ways) Johnny Depp banked more booty in a single year, $92 million, than any actor in history, thanks to his stake in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, and landed at number six.
Elton John earned $53 million, put out a greatest-hits album in April and celebrated his 60th birthday with a star-studded concert at Madison Square Garden—enough for seventh place; recently unretired rapper and hip-hop mogul Jay-Z makes his debut on the list at number nine; and the always-influential (and rich) Steven Spielberg, who produced Clint Eastwood's twin critical darlings, Flags of Our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima, and is working on a fourth Indiana Jones pic closes out the top 10.
Other fresh faces this year include the cast of Grey's Anatomy, which as a whole banked $33 million and scrubbed into 12th place; boy-bander turned jack of all trades Justin Timberlake, 34th place; George Clooney, somehow not on this list before but now on it in 40th place; Harry Potter players Daniel Radcliffe, also the top-ranking child star with $15 million, and Emma Watson; Dakota Fanning, the second-biggest underage earner with $4 million; and Heroes cheerleader Hayden Panettiere, who may not be able to regenerate in real life, but is the 98th most powerful celebrity.
Gone since last year are, among others, Paris Hilton (um, did this list include press from the past two weeks?), Nicole Richie, the now 21-year-old Olsen twins, Jennifer Lopez, Bruce Springsteen, the cast of The Sopranos (obviously this list doesn't factor in the past few days), Peter Jackson, Paul McCartney and Law & Order mastermind Dick Wolf. Other notable boldfaced types who made the list in the past but were MIA this year: Britney Spears (who topped Forbes' 2002 rundown) and Lindsay Lohan.
Tops in their field were:
The king of snark, TV personality Simon Cowell, whose small-screen presence and $45 million paycheck helped him achieve 21st place
Comedian Jerry Seinfeld (42nd place), still powerful on DVD and in syndication with $60 million
Brazilian model Gisele Bündchen, 53rd, who proves that she's more than a pretty face—she's a pretty face with $33 million
Celebrity chef Rachael Ray, whose 30-Minute Meal juggernaut helped her burst through that glass ceiling with $16 million and land in 66th place
Jerry Bruckheimer, who does, in fact, produce everything on CBS—or enough, at least, to make $120 million and rank 39th
Here's a recap of the top 10 from Forbes' 2007 list of the 100 Most Powerful Celebrities:
1. Oprah Winfrey, $260 million
2. Tiger Woods, $100 million
3. Madonna, $72 million
4. Rolling Stones, $88 million
5. Brad Pitt, $35 million
6. Johnny Depp, $92 million
7. Elton John, $53 million
8. Tom Cruise, $31 million
9. Jay-Z, $83 million
10. Steven Spielberg, $110 million

Jolie in overdrive to make peace with the paparazzi
It seems that Angelina Jolie has launched an operation to fix her heavy-handed treatment of journalists attending the New York premiere of new film, ‘A Mighty Heart.’ After FoxNews.com reported that Jolie tried to forbid the Fox network from the red carpet of the new film and forced reporters to sign lengthy contracts before speaking with her, the actress has now blamed her advisers for her haughty behaviour.
The contracts, which reporters had to sign to catch a few sound bites from the actress, specified that the journos were not allowed to "ask Ms. Jolie any questions regarding her personal relationships."
They also insisted, "The interview may only be used to promote the picture . . . The interview will not be used in a manner that is disparaging, demeaning, or derogatory to Ms. Jolie."
But once the contract story broke, Jolie changed her course and swiftly went on a mission to save her image by talking frankly about wanting more children and helping a photographer who was following her.
She promoted her film on "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart" on June 14 and refuted that reporters were asked to sign any contracts.
"There was a memo that went out to ask people if they would sign it that said, `Don`t get into personal questions, focus on the movie,` and things like that... It was from my representative trying to be protective... but it was excessive, and I wouldn`t have put it out there,” the New York Post quoted Jolie, as telling Jon Stewart.
Jolie also tried to fix her virtuous image by giving James Ambler, a paparazzo who works for Splash and regularly follows the Jolie family on his bike, a lift in her car after he got a flat tire.

Jessica Simpson does the 'Pussycat Dolls' routine in the bedroom!
Jun 13, 2007
Pop singer Jessica Simpson has credited the ‘Pussycat Dolls’ for her wild acts in the bedroom, claiming she implements the all-girls group’s raunchy movements during private moments.

The 26-year-old said that she loves the group’s dance, and that she reserves the moves for the ‘bedroom’.
“I love the way they dance. I do some of the moves myself but not in public - I keep that for the bedroom,” the Sun quoted her, as saying.
"I love watching them. I take notes and then keep them for those private moments,” she added.
Meanwhile, there is uncertainty over Simpson’s split with musician beau, John Mayer.
It is said that the two have been sharing an on and off relationship, but now the relationship has finally ended for good.

Cameron Diaz greets ex flame, Timberlake, with a smile
Running into your ex-beau, may not be something that any girl would want, but actress Cameron Diaz managed it really well when she met ex-flame Justin Timberlake recently in Germany.

Both Diaz and Timberlake have lent their voices for the Ogre film Shrek the third, and they happened to come face to face during the film’s photocall in Berlin.
As soon as she saw Timberlake, Diaz greeted him with a big smile and though the singer felt visibly awkward in the beginning, the two looked like old pals as they exchanged jokes, reports the Sun.
The former fashion model split with the singer in January this year, after almost four years of relationship.
Diaz is said to be in a relationship with ‘Mindfreak’ magician Criss Angel, who was involved with Brit actress Minnie Driver.
Timberlake has been linked to actress Jessica Biel, and the two have been spotted together on several occasions.

It is splitsville for Lindsay Lohan and Calum Best
Actress Lindsay Lohan has reportedly dumped her beau, TV personality Calum Best, after the latter was photographed in ‘a drug-fueled romp’.

The Mean Girls star, who is in Malibu rehab clinic following her arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence on May 26, has not been returning Best’s calls since he arrived in America.
A source said that Lohan had been upset when she heard about his latest quest when she checked into rehab for the second time.
“Lindsay hasn't been returning any of his calls since he got to America. She knew Calum was no angel but she felt humiliated when she heard what he had been up to just as she checked herself into rehab,” a source told Sun.
The source added that her folks kept telling her that an association with Best will only damage her reputation.
The source said that the actress could not help, but accept how right her pals were when she saw the photographs of Best with the hookers.
“People close to her had been trying to tell her that dating Calum would bring down her image but she just wouldn't listen. That is until she saw the pictures of him with the hookers for her own eyes,” the source said.

Mariane praises Brad Pitt for keeping 'A Mighty Heart' about Pearl
Mariane Pearl has praised Brad Pitt for telling her slain husband, Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl’s story in the movie adaptation of her book ‘A Mighty Heart’, and not using the film to espouse a certain political agenda.

Mariane reveals that she wasn’t sure about making the movie until she met actor Brad Pitt.
The 29-year-old wrote ‘The Mighty Heart’ which tells the full story of the life and brutal murder of her husband.
The movie version of the book stars Pitt’s girlfriend Angelina Jolie as Mariane and Dan Futterman as Daniel Pearl.
Mariane insisted that she was not sure about the movie until she gave the rights of the book to Pitt, who actually read her complete 2003 memoir and was interested in Pearl and not any politics related to terrorism.
"I wasn't even sure if I wanted to do a movie. Everybody was using terrorism for their own political agenda and, really, this is a story about Danny. But when I met Brad - well, out of all the studios, he was the only one who had actually read the book,” Contactmusic quoted Mariane, as saying.
Mariane revealed that it was only the ‘direct connection’ she felt with Pitt, and later Jolie, that convinced her that they were the right ones to make the movie.
"He was the only one who I had a conversation about what happened to Danny. And I could see that he wanted to have children and raise them in a world of tolerance. I don't think I could have done it if I didn't feel a direct connection to Brad and, then, Angie,” she said.
Pearl was kidnapped and murdered in Pakistan while he was investigating the case of Richard Reid, the shoe bomber, and alleged links between Al Qaeda and Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

Clooney feels 'sorry' for young Hollywood stars like Lindsay and Paris
George Clooney is glad that he is not part of ‘young’ Hollywood any longer, for he feels that today’s young stars like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan are just put under too much pressure.

Clooney, 46, also admits that he feels ‘sorry’ for famous youngsters like Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton, because of the constant media attention on them.
The actor insists that were he in their place or age, he would probably be a drug addict trying to deal with all the attention.
"If I were as famous as some of those kids who are on the magazines right now at 21 years old, I'd be shooting crack under my eyeball,” Clooney says in an interview in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly magazine, on newsstands Monday..
"We are always going to be that society that slows down to look at the car wreck on the side of the road. I think we're just in one of those places right now, and it seems to be focused on younger kids Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan and people like that," he said.
And though Clooney is confident that today’s youngsters will learn to deal with the pressure and go on with their lives, he certainly would not want to swap places with any of them.
"They'll get through it, but I wouldn't want to be growing up around that," the actor insisted.
Clooney will now be seen soon on the big screen when his new movie Ocean’s Thirteen hits theaters on June 8 this year.

Beckham keeping left arm free for tattoo tribute to baby daughter
Victoria Beckham has revealed that fans of husband David Beckham won’t be seeing any more tattoos on his left arm, for he’s hoping to fill that space up with the names of their future kids.

"Yes it's true. I think David is keeping his arm free for - hopefully - the name, or names, of our daughter or any other children we have," the Daily Mail quoted Posh, as saying.
Victoria also revealed that the couple is hoping to add a girl to the family sometime in the future. For the moment however, they’re just a tad too busy with the move to LA.
"Of course we would absolutely love to have a little girl but at the moment our lives are so full.
"But if in a few years' time when Cruz is all grown up, and we're so blessed, then we can start thinking about having more children," she added.

And, the man who has tattooed Becks for the past seven years, also admits that the reports are true.
"David told me he has left his entire left arm for a daughter. He has been saving it in case they had a girl. It would be dedicated to the new baby," he said.
Malloy also claimed that far from hating the look, Posh is a big fan of her hubby’s tattoos.
"Victoria likes the tattoos, I know she likes them. When I did the (most recent) one she was there, she watched it all and she liked it," Malloy revealed.

The former Friends star has been dating 36-year-old British model Paul Sculfor for several weeks now.

The 6-foot-tall Sculfor has a 40-inch chest, a 33-inch waist, and light brown hair. He is a former boxer and construction worker who has featured in ads for Christian Dior and Jean Paul Gaultier and starred in a British commercial for Levi's.
Sculfor’s friend and former flame, London socialite Lady Victoria Hervey, has good things to say about him.
"He's a lovely guy. A gentleman. Simple things, like opening doors, he does all that. He'll think of the woman before himself."
Sculfor also dated George Clooney's ex, Lisa Snowdon, for two years.
Aniston was spotted sharing a romantic dinner with Sculfor at Santa Monica's One Pico restaurant in the Shutters Hotel on May 26.
The pair had an intimate conversation for three hours, leaning in close and, at one point, even holding hands across the table.
People Magazine's Galina Espinosa told Access that Aniston and Sculfor both love Mexican food and acting. Paul, who also likes to surf, moved to LA to pursue his interest in acting.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's relationship was a leap of faith!
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt took a huge gamble when they decided to start living together.

And, the revelation comes straight from the Lara Croft star’s mouth herself, who tells Marie Claire magazine in its July issue that getting into a relationship was like taking a leap of faith for her and her beau.
Thankfully, it’s been a gamble that has paid off for both the stars.
"I think we both went on a lot of faith – we really did. Our family has grown very quickly, and we have a lot of responsibility together, and we acknowledge that we are lucky we turned out be for each other everything we'd hoped," People quoted her, as telling the mag.
"We could have been very wrong, but every challenge we hit has brought us closer. It has been that kind of relationship," she added.
And, what Jolie is happiest about, is that Brad has turned out to be not only the perfect partner, but also the perfect dad to her kids, especially Maddox.
"I'm so happy for my children – especially Mad. I didn't know if he was ever going to have a dad.
So when I watch them having real strong father-son time, or even when Mad tells me, 'This is aboy thing, Mom' – it's just really beautiful to see," she reveals.
The July issue of Marie Claire hits newsstands June 12.

Victoria said that she was unconcerned by the ongoing rumblings about her suitability if footballer husband David was knighted.
“Who cares if I’m not posh enough. All I care about is that Karl Lagerfeld said I’m cool — and he’s the man,” the Sun quoted her as saying.
It was in recognition of Victoria’s role in establishing Brand Beckham in the US ahead her husband’s move to football team LA Galaxy that she was rewarded. She has also seen her fashion and perfume range fly off shelves, and her second book ‘That Extra Half An Inch’ was a best-seller.
