Britney Spears' sixteen year old sister Jamie Lynn Spears, a high school junior not known to be in a serious relationship, is pregnant.

Jamie stars as a schoolgirl in the comedy television show Zoey 101 produced by American cable television network Nickelodeon.

A statement issued by Nickelodeon states:
"We respect Jamie Lynn's decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation.

We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn's well being."

When asked whether she was in a relationship, Jamie recently told the Associated Press:
"I kind of just keep my options open. I have a bunch of friends that I always hang out with, a bunch of guy friends."

Mum slams Eminem's difficult childhood claims

Rap star Eminem/s mother Debbie Nelson has rubbished her son’s claims in his songs that he had a very difficult childhood.

She writes in her tell-all book 'My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem' that her son resorted to all that crap only to become famous as a rap star.

"After his first album, Infinite, flopped, he reinvented himself as white trailer trash with a crazy welfare mom. I was shocked when I first heard the lyrics... but he constantly reassured me it was all a big joke... I went along with it for Marshall's sake," the New York Post quotes her as writing in the book’s introduction.

She also says by way of the book that years of verbal and physical attacks by her son’s fans have now got her through pretending.

"This book is my way of setting the record straight," she writes.

The book also reveals that as a child, Eminem was a shy boy who was so jealous of his mother's new man that he would not let him sleep with her on their wedding night.

Written through ghost-scribe and top British author Annette Witheridge, the book further reveals that the singer beat his mother up on his 23rd birthday, and that he does not remember 1999 when he first married his childhood sweetheart Kim.

However, despite all these sufferings, Nelson does not condemn her son.

"My son never intended for me to become an object of hatred," she writes in the book.

Representatives for Eminem were unavailable for comment.

Michael Jackson hits the shops with face in bandages

Pop singer Michael Jackson was snapped with a bandaged face when he took his three kids shopping at a Barnes & Noble in Las Vegas recently.

The singer was said to be hiding his appearance under a hat, sunglasses, and a scarf. He, however, was snapped inside the bookstore having bandages above and below his mouth.

According to the National Photo Group, the Thriller star and his children stayed at the bookstore for about three hours, and left with several boxes of books and magazines.

Jackson’s looks have been the centre of talks for years, with people wondering how many cosmetic surgeries he has undergone, reports the New York Post.

A representative for Jackson has denied that the singer had an operation done recently.

He, however, did not furnish any explanation for Jackson’s appearance.

Destiny's Child set to reform

Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams have been inspired to reunite by the Spice Girls recent comeback, and are planning to discuss working together again over the Christmas period.

Kelly said: "This current spate of reunions has given us ideas. Despite what people say we are all still really close.

"A couple of weeks ago Beyoncé did a show in Los Angeles and asked me and Michelle to join her on stage to sing 'Survivor'. The emotion was incredible and it felt so good to be back up there with the girls again.

"It was a real tear-jerker. The fans were crying and going nuts. It was magical. I'd definitely like us to do more stuff like that."

Kelly - who enjoyed a successful solo career after the band split in June 2005 - will be joining Beyoncé and the entire Knowles family for Christmas dinner.

She said: "As ever, Beyoncé and I will be spending Christmas day together, it will be a real family affair."

Rihanna does an about turn on dating Josh Hartnett

Rihanna has denied she is dating Josh Hartnett, despite recently gushing about him.

The Umbrella singer has been seen partying with the handsome actor on several occasions, but insists they're just good friends.

She told Allure magazine: "This is what really happened. He and my management, they have each other's contact information. I went to the New York club Pink Elephant, and he came by.

All of a sudden, the next day, I'm seeing that we were kissing and hugging up each other.

"You can't even go out with a friend who's a celebrity and have a good time without people making stuff up.

"Well, at least he's good-looking, right?"

It seems Rihanna has had a change of heart regarding her relationship with Josh.

She recently said: "I would be lying if I told you we were not more than just friends. I have so fallen for him, he is lovely. He is so hot and he is really sweet to me. When we hang out it feels right - even though it's still pretty new."

The 19-year-old star also revealed she is not close to Beyoncé Knowles, whose lover Jay-Z is president of Rihanna's record label Def Jam.

She said: "She's Beyoncé, and I'm his new protégée. When we see each other we say hi. We're not enemies, but we're not friends."

Daniel Radcliffe buys $4 million penthouse in New York

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, who has an estimated fortune of $46 million, has bought a $4 million penthouse in New York City.

Radcliffe plans to rent the property out for $20,000 per month until he moves in just before the Broadway run of Peter Schaffer's hit play 'Equus' - in which Radcliffe strips off nude -starts in September 2008.

Raccliff's letting agent, Chris Pomeroy, described the property designed up architect Jean Nouvel, as one of the "sexiest new developments" in the area.

The 1,843 sq ft penthouse is on the fifth floor of a 13-storey glass-walled building in trendy SoHo. The building has a 50ft swimming pool, steam room and "hotel-like" concierge service.
Within the privacy of his penthouse, the young British actor has a 37ft by 19ft "Great Room," two bedrooms, three bathrooms and floor-to-ceiling windows.

According to property records, the flat was snapped up by Gilmore Jacobs Ltd, the company set up in 2001 by Radcliffe's parents when he made his debut as the young boy wizard in the first Harry Potter movie.

After getting control over his fortune on his 18th birthday last July, Daniel claimed he didn't "have any plans to buy anything extravagant", adding: "The things I like buying are things that cost about $10 - books, CDs and DVDs."

Reports of discontent amidst Fall Out Boy band members about his association with Ashlee Simpson notwithstanding, band bassist Pete Wentz was with Ashlee courtside at the NY Knicks game.

Besides, the reports are "tabloid bulls--t" says the band's guitarist, Joe Trohman, on his blog friendsorenemies.com.

"We don't have any 'pals' that gossip to the tabloids over our business. Those kind of folk are called douchebags, and we don't fraternize with douchebags. We also don't blame a certain someone for our lack of a Grammy nod. That's absolutely f---ing absurd," he goes on to add.

Not wanting to leave anything unsaid, Trohman says Ashlee is "nothing short of awesome, and we fully back her."

Johnny Depp named best celebrity autograph giver for third consecutive year

The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor beat Matt Damon and George Clooney to top Autograph magazine's list of the Best Hollywood Signers.

New York autograph dealer Anthony Risi said: "Though Johnny is soft-spoken and laid-back, he likes to talk to fans and get to know them while signing. He'll sign more than one item when he has time as well."

Hairspray star John Travolta, veteran actor Jack Nicholson and child actress Dakota Fanning also made it into the top 10 of best signers.

Blades of Glory star Will Ferrell was named the worst signer in Hollywood, closely followed by Spider-Man actor Tobey Maguire.

Lon Strickler, an autograph collector from Baltimore, said: "Tobey has a bit of an attitude, but he will sign. But Will Ferrell, I don't know what his problem is. He just tries to ignore people. It's weird, and really rude."

Joaquin Phoenix, Bruce Willis and Teri Hatcher also appeared in the worst signers list.

But Autograph magazine had some advice for its readers, saying: "Keep in mind that even the best signers sometimes don't sign, the worst occasionally do, and that just because they're on the worst list doesn't mean they're bad people. They're just bad signers!"

Angelina Jolie tells Vietnamese authorities Pax is doing very well

Angelina Jolie has filed a report with Vietnamese authorities detailing the progress that her four year old adopted son Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt has made since his adoption from Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam on March 15, 2007.

According to Vietnamnet, in a letter to Ho Chi Minh City Department of Justice, Jolie reports that Pax has adapted to his new life very well. He is currently going to kindergarten with his younger sister Zahara.

He speaks full sentences in English and loves to recite funny stories. He also loves to play with motored toys.

"We believe he feels very safe in his home," Jolie goes on. "He laughs, sings, tells stories and is very fun to be around. He has a great sense of humor and is very imaginative.

"He is up to date with all his medical exams and vaccinations and has a very big appetite and developing properly. He is a wonderful addition to our family. We love him very much".

Jolie has also enclosed two photos of Pax along with her letter postmarked from her house in California.

Vietnamese law stipulates that parents who adopt a child from the country must update authorities on the progress of the child periodically during the first three years following adoption, and at least once every year later till the child is 18 years of age.

Tara Reid takes a spill while partying Down Under

Actress Tara Reid accidentally fell while partying in Australia late at night and was rushed to the hospital.

The American Pie star sustained minor cuts and bruises and has been treated and released from the hospital.

The actress is now recovering at her hotel, reports the New York Post.

Reid was once left embarrassed by a wardrobe malfunction at a highly-publicized photo shoot at Puff Daddy's 35th birthday party at Cipriani's Restaurant in New York City, when her dress fell, exposing her left breast.

On New Year's Eve 2006, at a large celebration in Chicago, the actress made several numerical errors in hosting the minute-long countdown for the year. A video of the incident circled the Internet.

Scary Spice's gyrating act onstage sparks outrage in U.K

Spice Girl Melanie Brown's performance at the band's comeback gig in London has sparked off anger in the U.K.

It all started when Scary Spice gyrated with an unsuspecting male fan onstage.

On Dec 15, the singer stunned her young fans by thrusting her head between the legs of the fan during her solo performance of Lenny Kravitz's “Are You Gonna Go My Way”.

One angry mum told Daily Star newspaper that the act was very disgusting and inappropriate.

"It was disgusting. There were lots of children in the audience so something this sexual was totally inappropriate. She looked more like a stripper than a singer,” the mum told the newspaper.

Cops to grill Amy Winehouse over hubby's case

It seems like Amy Winehouse’s trying times have not yet ended, for she will be questioned by police over an alleged trial-rigging plot.

The 24-year-old’s husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, 25, along with another man, Michael Brown are behind the bars charged with inflicting serious bodily harm on a pub landlord, James King, in Hoxton, east London, in June last year.

And now, Winehouse has been suspected of clearing off her hubby’s charges.

As part of the investigation, the pop singer must give fingerprints and DNA samples and will be questioned under caution.

She could face life in jail if cops link her to the suspected conspiracy.

A Scotland Yard source said that it is a very significant development.

"This is a very significant development,” News Of the World quoted the source, as saying.

Terrified Amy has vowed to commit suicide if she is sentenced to a long term in prison.

As the troubled star faces the prospect of a tough police grilling over the alleged 200,000 pounds plot to fix husband Blake Fielder-Civil's assault trial, a close friend revealed: "Amy's had her problems but she's really terrified this time. She's teetering on the brink.”

"She's already hatched a suicide pact with Blake. If they're both handed lengthy jail sentences she's determined they'll end it together rather than face years apart. She can't live without Blake. Her family are worried sick,” the pal added.

Shiloh Jolie-Pitt tops Forbes' 'Most Influential Celeb Kids' list

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s 1-year-old daughter Shiloh has been named the world’s most influential celeb kid.

The Hollywood power couple’s only biological child topped the new list, compiled by Forbes magazine.

The mag compiled the list after analyzing the amount of press attention given to celebrity children under 5-years-old in 2007, reports Usmagazine.com.

The second spot went to Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ daughter Suri, followed by another Brangelina baby, adopted daughter Zahara, at number three.

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline’s two-year-old son Sean Preston ranked fourth, while Pitt and Jolie’s adopted child, Vietnamese son Pax landed fifth.

Mischa Barton ready to strip naked on screen

The 'St. Trinian's' star has no problem baring all if the role requires it, but claims she just hadn't the opportunity yet.

Mischa, 21, said: "I don't mind nudity. I just don't do it that often. It depends on the film and if I trust the director and if the context is emotional or just sexual."

The actress is rumored to have been offered the starring role in the new Supergirl movie, and admits she would love to play the sexy heroine.

She said: "It would be pretty awesome. But everybody in Hollywood goes up for those films. I haven't been offered anything."

The former star of The O.C. has also spoken about her last appearance as rebellious teenager Marissa Cooper in the hit US TV show.

Hulk Hogan more worried about son than divorce proceedings

Former professional wrestler Hulk Hogan has said that though his wife Linda has initiated divorce proceedings against him, he is most concerned about his son Nick.

He says that his mind is entirely focused on Nick, who was involved in a car accident last year that left a person in a critical condition.

"My main concern in life is my son, and his situation with the boy in the car," People magazine quoted him as saying at an American Gladiators press gathering.

"Everything seems to be getting better in that situation," he added.

Hogan also wants to focus more on his daughter Brooke’s career than on his reality show.

The new American Gladiators, to be hosted by Hogan and boxing champ Laila Ali, premieres on NBC on 6 January.

The British glamour model recently confessed her fascination for sex toys, but added that their coldness can be a passion slayer.

Prince William, Prince Harry's £15,000 Christmas booze party

British Princes William and Harry reportedly spent a whopping 15,000 pounds on booze in just two hours during a festive night out recently.

The young royals were enjoying a Christmas party with their friends at their favorite London pub.

William’s girlfriend Kate Middleton also attended the party.

The trio, along with a gang of 13 other pals, tucked into potent sambucca shots, followed by bottles of vodka and tequila before turning their sights to 25 bottles of Cristal champagne at 500 pounds a time.

“It was William and Harry’s traditional Christmas outing and Kate also contributed towards the final bill. Harry seemed the most sober, but there will have definitely been some seriously sore heads today,” the Daily Star quoted a source as saying.

“And Harry was joking that he’d have to drink several strawberry milk shakes the next day. It’s his favorite hangover cure,” the source added.

The princes were escorted inside by armed protection officers, who read the riot act to the photographers present there. The snappers were warned that they did not want any mention of late Princess Diana’s demise.

The source has also revealed that a photographer stumbled into the gutter, leaving Kate in stitches.

Meanwhile, Harry has been branded Party Animal of the Year by event organizers Confex for his boozy antics.

“He is the epitome of UK party cool,” boss Duncan Reid said.

Eva Longoria watches San Antonio Spurs play Los Angeles Lakers

'Desperate Housewife' Eva Longoria appeared in good cheer Thursday, December 13, even as French model Alexandra Paressant released text messages to substantiate her claim that Eva's husband had a torrid extra marital affair with her in September.

Eva and Tony watched Los Angeles Lakers play San Antonio Spurs. An injury kept Tony on the sidelines.

Later that evening, Tony took Eva out for a sushi dinner at Katsuya in Hollywood with a group of friends.

People reports that the 25-year-old basketball star was subdued but affectionate during the dinner.

The infidelity allegations first surfaced Wednesday and were denied that evening by Longoria's publicist.

Brushing aside the claims Longoria went ahead with a feast in Parker's honor at their Hollywood Hills home.

"The chefs from Eva's restaurant, Beso, all arrived at Eva's house to cook a huge meal for Tony and his teammates," a friend of Longoria told Pagesix.

While refuting the infidelity allegations Longoria's rep said of Paressant, "It appears that this is not the first time this woman has used an athlete to gain public notoriety."

According to TMZ, Paressant dated soccer star Ronaldinho in the past and he sued her for making false claims that he partied before World Cup games.

Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe Hollywood's Most Overpaid actors

The 'American Gangster' actor topped the new list compiled by Forbes magazine, who compared stars' salaries to the gross income made by the film.

While Gladiator cost $100 million to make, and made $460 million gross income, Russell's recent films, which include Cinderella Man and A Good Year, have flopped at the box office - averaging $5 of gross income for each dollar he was paid.

American Gangster might help Russell's bankability - it has already made $173 million worldwide, nearly double the $100 million it cost to make.

Russell's fellow Australian Nicole Kidman came second in the list after earning a reported $15 million for her most recent blockbuster The Golden Compass - which made only $26 million in its debut weekend in the US, compared to the $200 million it allegedly cost to make.

These figures mean Nicole's films return $8 on average to the studios, while Angelina Jolie - who is paid less than Nicole - grosses $15 on average.

Comedians Jim Carrey and Will Ferrell came in third and fourth positions.

Jim is taking a huge risk on his next film Yes Man - he is not being paid anything upfront and will only get paid if the film makes money.

The Wedding Planner actress Jennifer Lopez rounded off the top five. The mother-to-be is quickly becoming known for her box office flops, with her film Gigli not even taking as much as it cost to make.

Adam Sandler, Cameron Diaz, Denzel Washington, Will Smith and Tom Cruise also featured in the embarrassing list.

Pamela Anderson and husband Rick Salomon to star in their own reality show

The couple - who married in a whirlwind Las Vegas ceremony two months ago - are in talks with the E! network to star in a fly-on-the-wall documentary of their family life due to air next year.

A source said: "Think Nick and Jessica's 'Newlyweds', but with a lot more sex and a crazier family life.

"These two don't have any boundaries, which is perfect for reality stars."

The 40-year-old former Playboy model and Salomon - best known for producing and starring in a 2003 sex tape with ex-girlfriend Paris Hilton - had been friends for years but got together after Pammie lost too many card games to the professional poker player and he offered to clear her debt in return for sex.

Pamela - who has two sons Brandon, 11, and nine-year-old Dylan from her marriage to rocker Tommy Lee - recently said of her marriage: "I'm the happiest I've ever been. We're good for each other. We're in every night - having sex!"

Hollywood hunk Johnny Depp has said that he hopes that one day the world will get tired of him.

The 44-year-old star in an interview said that after a point of time he wants to be away from the limelight and lead a normal life.

"I'm sure it will be a possibility someday again. Maybe when I get old. They get tired of you," he told Esquire.

"I don't want to be a product. I want to be totally outside and far away from all of it,” he added.

Depp also thanked his long-time pal director Tim Burton with whom he has made six films – including Sweeney Todd, which received rave reviews.

"My life is my life because of Tim. Definitely,” he said.

Michael Jackson ordered to turn over financial information within 25 days

Michael Jackson has been issued a court order, which gives the former king of pop 25 days to return financial information to a law firm that previously won a 256,000 dollars judgment against him in July.

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled on Dec 12 that if Jackson refuses to turn over the records requested by the firm of Ayscough & Marar, he instead has the option of paying his unpaid legal fees.

The singer appointed the firm during his 2005 child-molestation trial to perform such tasks as obtaining court orders to block information from being publicly released and delaying finding in several civil cases.

The firm also represented him in a lawsuit brought by former business associate Marc Schaffel, who eventually won a 900,000-dollar verdict against Jackson.

Ayscough & Marar won a second judgment against the singer in October, ordering him to pay the 175,000 dollars in attorneys' fees, which the firm spent in hiring outside lawyers in the original case.

Currently, the singer is appealing the 175,000-dollar ruling, implying the firm can only pursue the 256,000-dollar award for the time being.

Judge James C. Chalfant said that Jackson had agreed to return the records requested by Ayscough & Marar in October but had yet to meet the terms.

"While the court has no reason to doubt the sincerity of the representations of his attorneys, the fact of the matter is that under law, Jackson must provide further responses to the [law firm's] request, particularly since he agreed to do so through the meet-and-confer process," E! Online quoted Chalfant, as stating in his order.

Jackson's legal team has claimed that the funds he plans to use to clear up his debt with the law firm have been tied up, partly because he has not yet completed a planned refinancing of his Neverland Ranch.

The singer's spokesperson, Raymone K. Bain, dismissed reports last month that Jackson had failed to pay on a 23 million-dollar loan and was in danger of losing the property.

"Contrary to published reports, Mr. Jackson was never in default of the loan," Bain said, adding that the 49-year-old singer was "in the final stages of [a] refinance."

Jackson's attorney, Marshall L. Brubacher, told the judge that his client could pay up within nine days.

He added that arranging Jackson’s financial records for the information requested by Ayscough & Marar could take longer than the 25 days allotted by the court.

"I went to Neverland last week, and it's a mammoth amount of work, because there are 30,000 boxes of financial documents," Brubacher said.

"It's going to take a tremendous amount of time,” he added.

However, Michael McCarthy, a lawyer for Ayscough & Marar, refused to accept Brubacher's description of Jackson's so-calling filing system.

"Thirty-thousand boxes, that's not even credible," McCarthy said.

Victoria and David Beckham spice things up with raunchy strip club visit

Victoria and David Beckham had a spicy night out when they visited one of the world's raunchiest lap dancing clubs in Las Vegas.

The couple spent three hours in a private room at Spearmint Rhino where they had gone to celebrate the birthday of Spice Girls' make-up artist.

Posh Spice's rep confirmed the reports saying they had gone to the strip club.

"They did go to a strip club with a group of friends to celebrate one of the friend's birthday," the People quoted the rep, as saying.

'The Sun' newspaper revealed that the guests were deluged with champagne and strawberries while they watched the X-rated dances and the couple had a time of their life.

"It hasn't been like this for years - since before our first son Brooklyn was born," The Sun quoted Posh, as saying.

"We've had two nights out on the trot which have been really messy and we are loving it," she added.

Even Becks discovered that hitting the bar could be fun.

Posh stated that everybody had said that LA audience was hard to please but they still went for it.

"LA was great. It was the best gig so far," Becks added.

The Beckams also had dinner with actor Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes at the SW Steakhouse in LA and attended the Floyd Mayweather-Ricky Hatton fight on Dec. 7.

Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt named Us Weekly's 'Couple of the Year'

Brad Pitt and ladylove Angelina Jolie have been named ‘Couple of the Year’ by American publication Us Weekly.

The couple were picked because “America couldn't stop watching Jolie, 32, and Pitt, 44, as they juggled two hot careers and went from three kids to four (Pax, 4, joined in March”), says the mag.

It added: “Then, there's the pair's endless humanitarian work: Jolie recently supported her man in New Orleans as he announced plans to build 150 more home there by next summer.”

Coming in at second place was Tom Cruise and wife Katie Holmes, more popularly known as ‘TomKat’.

On this couple the mag has to say: “Though naysayers thought it wouldn't last, the couple continue to radiate, especially at the sight of little Suri, 20 months.”

A source also revealed to Us that Suri may soon have siblings, for dad Tom "is definitely ready for more babies."
